Laura prints the photographs using an Epson Stylus Pro 4000 or 9800 ink jet printer. These are professional wide format printers that use 8-color ultrachrome ink technology. These inks have amazing color fidelity and are archival.
Premium Glossy Paper: Laura uses this paper because of its archival quality and thickness. This paper feels like a traditional photograph, and it is rated by Wilhelm Research to last at least 85 years if displayed in normal conditions.
Canvas: Laura uses canvas for her limited edition pieces. It is archival, water-resistant, and it is coated to protect it from damaging UV rays.
"Giclee" is a french word meaning "spray," and is used to describe the process of spraying thousands of tiny droplets of ink onto canvas or paper.
"Gallery wrapped" means the photograph is wrapped around the border of the stretcher bars, so that it looks like a continuous image around the sides, top, and bottom. It does not need a frame.
"Limited edition" means the photo is one from an edition that is limited to a certain number. The two limited edition sizes available for sale on this website have an edition size of 500, and the photographs are delivered with a certificate of authenticity signed by Laura Fowler.
